The Friends of Heritage Square offer guided walking tours along brick pathways and manicured gardens amongst turn-of-the-century buildings every Saturday from 11am to 2pm at Heritage Square, 715 South "A" Street, in historic downtown Oxnard. Visitors take a journey back in time as they are greeted by a costumed docent who will lead you on a 45-minute tour of historic houses that were built between 1887 & 1912 for Oxnard's early pioneers. Featured on the tour are five houses, a church and a winery replica set in a picturesque Victorian garden setting. History comes alive as guests learn about each building and the history of its original family and its architectural features. Group tours are also available by special appointment. 805-483-7960.
